Inspiration and Policy

Philosophy

This website grew out of a vision I had a long time ago as a way for me to be myself and communicate the thoughts, knowledge and images that are a part of me. It’s also a way I can give back to others and contribute to the free flow of ideas. Honesty in equals honesty out. At least that is my hope of how this is perceived and used.

One of the treasured freedoms of this country is a free press. I believe, because I have witnessed the results, that there is a major difference between a free press and a free press driven by huge profits. In order to gain a following and increase revenue, the messages are often compromised or their intent corrupted. People are starting to reject that and tune it out. Now they have a choice. Small Media. I think it’s the free press returning to its roots.

Advertising

There is no advertising on this site. No pop-ups or ad banners or ad partners. I feel it would compromise my philosophy and integrity. I sometimes will promote a local businesses or an event just because I think it’s interesting or worthy of being noted. But I would never accept any pay in return for what is presented here. I sometimes will get a request to do a photo-feature about a business. And if you are interested in one of those for your business, just let me know a little about you and I will certainly consider it.

Spam

I don’t send spam email to anyone. I try to treat others as I would like to be treated myself. You can rest assured, as a visitor to this website, the only way I would contact you is if you request that I do so. Please read the Privacy Policy for further information.

So please, don’t send any spam email to me either. Your domain will just be added to my blacklist with the others there already. The website itself has some nasty spam filters too that will not compromise with anything it thinks is spam or tampering from other computers or bots.

Content

This website is in a blog format to encourage the sharing of ideas and communication. The content is my own and original. My writing is drawn from my own experiences, having been an Indianapolis native and long-time resident…and as an active Realtor® and real estate broker since 1982. You can also read my About Me page which has a little more information about me. I am always looking for new ideas and topics of interest to others. So let me know if there is something or someplace that you would like for me to address or cover.

Photos

All of the photos on this site I have taken myself. I see something that inspires me and you see the result. Photos express so much more than I could ever write. I am constantly amazed at the beauty and diversity that is all around us.

Just as I would not copy others photos, I would ask others not to copy or take mine because they are a part of me…and besides that, they are copyright protected which I will vigorously defend. I would be happy to share them in most cases but please ask first. All I would like in return is that I am given credit as the photographer and a link to this site if used on another website.

Contributions

I encourage others to use the resources here to make comments and exchange ideas with each other. I also would welcome guest writers to author posts. If you are interested in something like that, let me know and we can talk about it.

Unfortunately, there are limits that have to be observed. The site has to be maintained as a positive place to visit. As far as comments go, the website filters will black flag certain words, phrases or spam, and I reserve the right as editor not to post any comment that is offensive or inappropriate. Hopefully I won’t have to do that very much. I just want to have fun with this!
