Super Bowl Party

Indy’s Tropical Destination

Looking for someplace to chase away this latest winter blast? White River Gardens might be the ticket. The Hilbert Conservatory is in tropical mode through Labor Day this year with the current exhibit OMG! Orchids with many varieties of colorful orchids, tropical plants and water features. Exploring a rain forest…Sounds good doesn’t it?

Heartland Film Festival 2011

One of the truly outstanding annual events in our community, the Heartland Film Festival begins tomorrow and continues through Saturday 10-22. The festival provides an avenue to view movies by independent film-makers that main-stream theaters often miss. Here’s the film schedule. There’s something for everyone.

This is one of those times when my words just get in the way. Just take in a movie or two. You’ll have fun.

Indianapolis Indians 2011 Schedule

Here’s the rest of the Indians schedule for this season in case you feel like taking in a game. Some like the night games especially with the field lit up by all the big lights, and cooler temps under an open, starry sky.

Merry-Go-Round

Still one of the most popular attractions at the Children’s Museum, a ride on the authentic Merry-Go-Round on the top floor. Its first life was in Broad Ripple Park here in Indianapolis from 1917 to the mid-50′s. Then it was refurbished and has been a part of the Children’s Museum for over 40 years.
