You can’t believe how many photos I took at the Talbot Street Art Fair today. So it was hard to pick just one. Everyone has there own way of interacting with art and deciding what speaks to them. But the artwork displayed by this exhibitor was one of my favorites. The pictures appear to be photos of flowers, possibly done by overlaying several photos over each other to produce the final product? Each one was colorful, simple and bright, with a positive energy to them. If you’ve noticed, I love to take photos of flowers, so maybe that’s part of the reason I liked them. Plus I lucked out and no one was facing the camera at this moment. I try to avoid putting photos of people in posts at all and especially where you might be able to recognize them. I figure I wouldn’t really like my photo posted without my consent so I should treat others the same way.
There was just about everything that one can imagine on display at the fair. Art, crafts, jewelry, collectibles, furniture, etc, etc. From high-end to low-end and everything in-between. I marvelled at the variety actually. It’s really a tribute to the creativity of people generally and their diversity. I’m not sure how much money changed hands of course, but it seemed like the Art Fair was a success…at least in terms of turnout. There was quite a crowd there. At times elbow to elbow, with people roaming Talbot Street and those that intersect it between 16th and 19th Streets.
The Art Fair will also be running tomorrow, Sunday from 10 to 5. You might take a run by there yourself if you can.
